The Program is parent-based so ensuring that both parents have some knowledge of RDI® and its principles is a good start to determining if the program will suit you and your child.

To find out more about RDI® the following is strongly recommended:

• Attend a 2 or 4 day Workshop held by Connections Center (Houston, Texas); or alternatively, watch the DVD – Going to the Heart of Autism.
• Read any or all of the following books:
  • “The RDI Book: Forging New Pathways for Autism, Aspergers and PDD with the Relationship Development Intervention Program” (2009), by Steven E. Gutstein, Ph.D
  • “Autism Aspergers: Solving the Relationship Puzzle” (2000), by Steve E. Gutstein, Ph.D
  • ‘My Baby Can Dance: Stories of Autism, Asperger's and Success Through the Relationship Development Intervention® (RDI®) Program’ (2006), by Steve E. Gutstein, Ph.D.
